Yet another 99% completion thread

Hey, I am getting mixed feedback on the topic of the % completion.

Now before you tell me about things to turn it etc. I did turn in gallery keys, I did turn in Risky's clothes, I did trade all the spells at snake lady.
However I am at 99% completion, and am not sure if I will get that last % with beating the boss, or did I miss one of the items on my way here. I do remember that when I was first clearing the game I was at 98% and did not get any for completing the game.
(later found out I forgot one spell upgrade, and to turn in clothes)

Normally I would just clear it and see, or check everything again but I am doing 100% speed run (while trying to get both speed run achivements at the same time) and already being at 2:10 I do not have the time to check things again without having to do any % speed run separetely.

So to these few people who believe that you get 1% for completing the game if you had aquired all the items before entering the final stage, could you please give any proof to that?

Well, I got impatient and cleared the game without saving, this makes the thread kinda pointless.

That said, I confirm that if you DID everything, you will get the remaining 1% after clearing the game. However if you forgot one item, you will not get that 1%, this does make it quite confusing, but yeah as long as have all the items shown on maps, bought everything from both shops, traded all the dances, got magic tiara, and gave all 4 Risky's clothes to Uncle you are fine and last % will appear after the game is cleared.

Thread can be closed in that case.

Odd. I cleared the game and ended in I think it was 97% and then I just upgraded the remaining spells I forgot to upgrade and traded the spells with the snake lady and got the 100% without having to do the final level again o.o

Before completing the game I got every secret of each level (relics, keys, dances, heart containers, etc.) and after clearing the game I just simply upgraded the spells I forgot to upgrade and went with the snake lady to do the trades and that was all. 100% of the game.

Yes, it was the same for me in my first time playing the game. 98% -> completed the game -> got forgoten items -> 100%
On my speed run though when I did everything BEFORE entering the final stage it did stop me at 99% -> 100% as soon as completed the game.

It's a ghost check in my opinion, it only affects yout completion progress if you got every single item before clearing the final stage, any other situtation it will not be visible at all show up at all. it's as if completing the game gives you 0,5% and the last item gives 1,5% as the game only shows the whole %'s it's not visible until they are both aquired.

So this probably got answered seeing as how this is from a couple weeks ago, but that final 1% is actually the Zombie Hamster after defeating Tinkerbrain. Going into Risky's Hideout at 99% is actually correct for the 100% clear. You'll see it when you get the game clear screen, if you were at 99% entering Risky's Hideout, you should have 100% on the Game Clear screen.

Other odd percentages, you have to exchange for the jug and blobfish at least once.
