The other playable characters?

I read somewhere that Rottytops, Bolo, and Risky are playable characters. May someone tell me how to unlock them?

What abilties could Bolo, Sky, and Rottytops have, once they are released as playable characters?

Sky's special abilties probably would revolve around Wrench. Maybe the bird would act as a bit of a drone- type ability, ranging from attacking, taking hits, to stealing items from enemies. Maybe if you use that last one, that enemy gets more aggressive. Perhaps there would be a bit of a limit, via using the magic meter?

As for Rottytops, maybe her special abilties either would be able to either charm the enemies into attacking each other, or maybe she can throws either a hand or maybe her head to take control of the enemy for a small period of time? Her body is immune because it falls down and plays dead or something. One thing I'm wondering about is what if instead of her crawling when you duck and move, she instead temporarily falls apart and all her parts roll in the direction you press.

Dunno about Bolo. At best, I see him salvaging parts left from defeating bosses to make gadgets. As in, Wilbur's remains get made into a shield, A parachute is made from Tinkerslug's leftovers, and so on. but it seems like a redu of Risky's mode.

The Kickstarter updates included a brief blurb about what Sky, Bolo, and Rotty would be able to do in their respective modes. This information is from 2014, so may be out of date with regards to how they are being built now.

Sky is shown jumping on her birds as if they were tempoary platforms, with a blurb 'Sky gains extra height from her feathered friends!'

Bolo appears to be a more combat orientated character, using his morning star/ball and chain. 'Bolo's ball and chain can be used to grapple and smash.'

Rottytops is shown throwing her head at an unseen opponent, suggesting she can use her own body parts as weapons. Remember that she did use her leg as a lockpick back in the GBC game. 'The power of the undead is at your disposal.'
