Best bet would be Nyu Media. There are doing exlnt job so far. nyu-media.com/forum/

Too sleepy now, but I will try to remember to go and create a thread there tomorrow about this.

I'm serious about the quality of the PC ports, these are serious condenters only missing a proper English localization (personally I don't even care about that, the menues are easy enough to navigate, and I know enough Japanese to understand roughly what is going on).

I tried them recently in Windows 7 64bit. Both Shikigami 2 and 3 worked perfectly, looked sharp and had TATE features and everything if I remember correctly. Shikigami 1 had some minor quirks, but nothing that couldn't be easily sorted out. :)

If you have a meaty enough CPU, i would advise trying the WII version of Shiki 3 on Dolphin. Its got a ton more features and options than the p.c version, it's even in English. For a Wii emu it's surprisingly easy to run, just a top down shooter after all.

Zero Gunner 2 rocks!, very innovative and a real looker. Demul is almost there with it, i really need to get a Dx11 GPU for that. Not to mention other awesome DC shooters like Border Down, Under Defeat and Psyvariar 2 (i love how they all have such ridiculous names!)

Those are just standard shooters not bullet hell
maybe not a bullet hell shumup but a hundred times more fun to play than most bullet hell shooters. Also lords of Thunder and Soldier Blade are amazing too.

Gate of Thunder and Lords have such awesome music. The Turbo Grafx// Pc Engine is just stacked with amazing S.T.G's. Ootake is the emulator of choice for them.

I'd love a modern port of Gradius V so much.

One last thing, Gradius V is emulated with ease on PCSX2, it not that demanding on your CPU (for a PS2 emulation at least), and can be played at high resolutions.
BTW if anyone knows how to deal with the Level 2 cutscene bug on that please leave a comment!
I'm new to PS2 emulation. I wish I could figure out how to get my Gradius V save from my PS2 memory card to my PC. I used to be able to access the file at least using that official PS2-to-PS3 MC adapter, but I couldn't figure out how to make it readable in the emulator. I can't even access the files now, I suspect the software just doesn't work properly in Win8.1 and hasn't been updated.

Also I can't quite get the de-interlacing to look right... so I still have a PS2 hooked up that may as well be glued-shut with Gradius V in it.
i dunno about using your Ps2 mem card, you might just have to start anew. As for interlacing there's an auto feature on up to date versions to help, tho personally i leave it off and ramp up the rez to x3. Looks very clean and sharp.
I do wish they would sort the buggy display on the level 2 cutscene tho. Other than that it runs a treat.
I still remember the 1st time i played Gradius V, i was just blown away...its just so...epic.
Ramped the internal res to x4 and ... that did not work right haha. Framerate is smooth at x3.

But yeah, worth starting over. There are small visual glitches everywhere on the hud and writing, but otherwise it looks pretty great.
hud glitches can be sorted, i assure you. Bit of trial and error with the texture filtering option, also use the ZeroSpu audio plugin, otherwise the music loops wrong.
Enjoy blowing up those level 1 planetoids...they go ....whaaaaaaaaaa!
Always wondered why they scream like people. Thanks for the tips.
good games,but so hard

I think there are save converters -- I used one when moving my PSX save files to my PC because I needed save states to get through a certain part of Xenogears. Guessing this applies to PS2 saves as well.

Blue Wish Resurrection Plus is pretty awesome and its free. Plays like a Cave shooter.
