how was the original arcade cabinet?

i'm curious when this game was released on the arcade in 2001
did the game had continues? what was the max number of lives you could put and also could you change the difficulty? does anybody knows?

the difficulty was selected after inserting a coin and pressing one of the buttons
there were continues but you had to put in more coins, your score also reset each continue, incrementing by 1
max number of continues was 9(?)
max starting lives was not a feature, it was always set to 3(afaik there was no settings menu for the cabinet aside from to manage high scores)
