What is Shadowveil?

Shadowveil is a new type of Roguelite Strategy game where you as a player focus on the big strategic choices rather on the moment-to-moment decision making. This allows players to explore a variety of playstyles, whether you're a hardcore strategist or a more casual player. You can tailor your own strategy adventure and immerse yourself in the great L5R universe.

What do I do in Shadowveil?

As the player, you will decide which characters to bring into battle, how to customize their abilities, and decide the deployment strategy. Once battle begins, your units will engage in real-time combat, and it is your job as their commander to analyze their performance and behavior. Through rewards and upgrades, you will have the chance to continually evolve your units with endless tactical possibilities.
However, the Shadowlands is a treacherous place, and you will most likely encounter enemies that you are not fully prepared for. This dilemma will let the player decide, continue and risk the expedition or retreat and regroup at the Wall. Decision after decision the player will take part of the essential loop of the game.

What is Legend of the Five Rings

LEGEND OF THE FIVE RINGS (L5R) is a shared gaming universe set in Rokugan, a rich fantasy setting inspired by the samurai cinema of Akira Kurosawa and the history and folklore of Japan, China, and other Asian nations. In Rokugan, shapeshifters, dragons, and gods walk beside mortals, and warring samurai clans clash for power and prestige, duel for love and revenge, and defend against the demonic invasion of the Shadowlands. Since the collectible card game debuted in 1995, L5R has been adapted into a Living Card Game, several tabletop roleplaying games, board games, novels, art books, and a graphic novel. What platforms will the game be on?

For now Shadowveil will be available on PC - Steam.

What languages will be available?

In text: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese will be available at launch.
Additional languages are being investigated continuously.
In Voiceover: English.

Will there be multiplayer?

Shadowveil is a single player experience.

Will there be updates or DLC?

After launch the team will provide support for QoL and fixes, and also investigate multiple opportunities when it comes to content. One thing high on our list is to investigate Steam Deck verification.

Will modding be supported?

While we love player creations and support modding, we do not have any official modding tools planned at the moment.

Is there a Discord for the game?

Yes, we welcome any fans into our Discord[discord.gg] to discuss more about the game.

Where can I report bugs or issues?

Bugs and issues can be reported in our official Discord[discord.gg].

Will my saves (game progress) carry over from the Demo to the full release?

No. You'll have a fresh start in the full release, with the only thing carrying over being the things you've learned while playing the demo.
