This is NOT a "remaster"

The negative reviews are entirely fair, the game is being labeled as a remaster, (Hella Remastered, in fact) and it very much isn't. This is a straight port with the absolute minimum work done to make it a "remaster".
If you love the original and want to have it in your library, it's a great purchase.
If you were hoping for an update to a classic, you're in for disappointment. It IS the classic, almost no quality of life updates included.

Is it not? My game seems to be running it at a higher resolution and framerate than the original. While I do wish for graphical and higher framerate options. This is a remaster. The original would often hit sub 15 FPS just incase your memory forgot.

You're factually wrong here. You may be disappointed, but you're still wrong in what you say.

There's new content added to the game, new game +, it's available on new platforms, runs at native high resolutions with an increased framerate. Full KB/m support with adjustable binds. None of this was available previously and it is not a straight port.

It is in fact an update to a classic, and everything you said is wrong. Again, you may be personally disappointed, but maybe your expectations were too high.

The game runs fine, it's not censored in any way, and it's improved in numerous ways to be made playable on modern platforms. It's the definitive way to play this game now.

The new content additions, higher resolutions and framerate is not exclusive to PC. This is a game that is well over a decade old, that received updates to be playable on modern platforms, with new content for the game, enhanced resolutions and framerate.

It's a remaster on all platforms whether you like to admit it or not. It may not be to the level that some of you would like, but that's nothing new on PC from entitled Steam users who have unrealistic standards, especially for something that is ~$20.

If those features weren't in the original then yes, specially the higher resolution and higher framerate.

typical grasshopper PC port. straight console port labeled as remastered, 60fps cap, no graphic options... I'm just glad there's actually a KB/M support and it's not horrible. It's not good but not horrible either. I'm still thankful for this port since it was one of my fav games on PS3.

If the game was amazing before, then it's still amazing here with the remaster. This remaster is the best way to play this game now, and for a very fair price.

It's not a straight port, the game didn't run at 60 it run at 30 before and the textures have higher resolution now. A straight port would have no changes at all. You are lying and that's a fact, as hard as the fact the game is a remaster, one you don't like, but a remaster nonetheless.

Before you putting out such a statement you should do a little research. A "remaster" is a new master of a product (it comes from the music industry where the master is the "to release ready" song) with the goal to improve the quality over the original release.

By fact are things like a double in framerate, resolution up to 2160p, NG+ and new costumes to unlock indeed what fits into the category if a "remaster".

I don't get why you are disappointed by it or what you are disappointed about when you just wanna play the game again on your PC. It's simply YOU and YOUR expectations who is the issue here.
