PVP depends on gear and the players and what stupid rule set is used.

Pve again depends on gear and the player.

These subjects will always be opinions as there is no "best" class for either.

Force Shielders are without a doubt the best class to run with if you're planning on doing either PvE or PvP currently. Force Shielders just do not die to anything. If properly geared and specced, they're just unstoppable.

PvP
Force Shielder (FS vs FS = Stalemate)
Priest (FS vs PR = Stalemate)
Force Blader (FS vs FB = FS win @ ~70% HP)
Warrior (FS vs WA = FS win @ ~80% HP)
Wizard (FS vs WI = FS win @ ~90% HP)
Force Archer (FS vs FA = FS win @ ~100% HP)
