Fester Mudd NEVER launches MAC

Hey guys, I haven't been able to play Fester Mudd because every time I open it, it just sits there. Nothing loaded. And I right click it and it immediately says "Application Not Responding." I've tried uninstalling it, restarting my mac, and opening steam several times.

Well, it started with Fester Mudd (I open it and it says that it's running but the screen for the game is nowhere to be found). This is also occuring with Gone Home, as I haven't been able to successfully open the game and it just sits in the dock, not responding. Could this perhaps be an update? Possibly when I updated my Mac to Mavericks? This is not occuring with any other game but Fester Mudd and Gone Home. I uninstalled and reinstalled Steam and this didn't help.

You are not alone: I managed to play some 80 minutes of the game and then stopped. After I try to relaunch the game, I can see a new black window but it's not responding. I've been having issues with Steam and Mavericks.

I dont have that kind of money and I enjoy my Mac for all intended purposes, other than this mishap. But thank you for your solid input.
