Comparisons to other games.
I'm seeing some buzz online about how this is like a mix between Crusader Kings and Total War. But if it were a sliding scale where does this game fall between the two? I am a fan of both franchises but tend to enjoy Management/Diplomacy over commanding full scale battles.

How much would I be shooting myself in the foot if I "autocalc" all battles in this game? I understand that a skilled player micro-ing units will always do better than auto resolving warfare in games like this. But if I ignore that side of the game entirely how much am I really hurting myself?

Hey Thanos - a good comparison would be Knights of Honor 2.

One unique feature of our game is that it`s a real time strategy as well. So during battles or peace time you can gather resources, construct building, walls, train units, position troops - in RTS mode (everything can also be done on the world map).

Another one is scalable gameplay - you literally start the game with a sole army with almost no units, and from there become a landowner, then a lord, then take over your kingdom and on and on until you are emperor of the world.

As of now - early access launch - we are missing some key trade and and religion features though - so as far as kingdom management, it`s closer to TW than CK.

And please keep in mind - we are a very small studio - just me and another developer Brian - so please don`t expect the level of content or graphics like TW and CK (these games are made by giant corporations with 300+ developers)

Thanks for the clarification. Sounds like this game is very conquest driven. Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure I'll still enjoy it. It just tend to prefer realm management over warfare.

Economy and diplomacy is still a big part of the game, although diplomacy really starts few hours into the game, once player takes over the Kingdom and is crowned King. And thanks for giving the game a chance!
