2.5D or 3D?

I'm trying to put this spork in a category.

I would say its 2D from a first person perspective

Although 2.5d mechanisms can by now easily create round pseudo-3d objects (e.g. cylinders), this game has none of them and thus I would say it's 2.5d. However, that doesn't mean it's not 3d trying to simulate a 2.5d-feel...
So: 2.5d objects with 2d movement, kinda having similarities to 1980s vector games.

And all of that Fotonica does gorgeously.
