Updated to Windows 10 broke your game? Use Compatibility mode.

Hello all,

We are starting to see posts of people having trouble with Windows 10 updates causing the game to stop working. Here is how to run the game in "Compatibility mode"

1 ) Go to your Steam Stonehearth Folder (C:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Stonehearth)

2 ) Right click on Stonehearth and select "Properties" from the drop down menu.

3 ) Click on the "Compatibility" tab

4 ) Click the box for "Run this game in compatibility mode for:

5 ) Choose "Windows 8" from the drop down.

If the game does not work in Windows 8 mode, repeat steps 1 - 3 and select "Windows 7" from the drop down.

So on windows 10 no compatibility tab so that won't work. Something about Lavasoft Ad-Aware to disable or LavasoftTcpServices64.dll crashing the game.. any clue as to how to fix this? or kindly give me back my money for a game that won't work.

This means you have malware on your computer and you need to remove it. Ad-aware is the worst software ever written.

You need to go in steam libraries, to game settings, to "betas" and then activate the unstable branch.

So far with my new labtop i have no issues besides the normal bugs i guess are known but even so I have always been able to 'get rid of' error pop-ups by figuring out what the issue is so my game is going well, around 30ish hearthlings 1/3 of the map used for roads and buildings and farm, 1/2 map is unused by mob spawns and my hearthlings because of tall cliffs i that even with ladders no mobs are spawning and the water areas. lucky me most spawns are already in range of my archers.
my labtop stuff information is
-AMD A8-5410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics 2.00 GHz
-6.00 GB(4.96 GB usable)
-64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
-Windows 10 Lenova Labtop

but this is the work of microsoft not stonehearth-devs..... you cant be angry to the devs...

Another problem is that when running the Properties tab, there exists no Compatibility. Previoius versions maybe, but that too is a blank.

try the property and then compability-tab. this is the place i found it.

cancel the auto save feature, and use force 32 bit grapics, try that.

typically this is a game with game bugs(alpha), its in creation, try your options and go to the main forums, sorry do not have it off the top my mind.
EDIT: do not use force Speed 3x
