Black screening

I never tried modding this game before, so I just tried today and downloaded the following
Dani’s Core Mod
Authorized Community Expansion (ACE)
Ace Mods frostfeast and Composing
What sparked me to download mods was I reread reviews and saw how much better ACE makes the game, as well as me seeing the mods tab in the main menu.

So I download these mods, mind you the game worked fine just before. Then when I go to boot up the game, it just stays a black screen. I think that it'll just take longer to load all the mods. So I sit down on my bed, and just start relaxing. I don't know how long time passed but it was at least 2 hours, when I go back to check. Just to see a black screen still. The main menu music is playing. I can't do anything. Nothing I press does anything. Anybody know what I can do to fix this?

If it stays on a Black Screen, but the music is playing: press F5 to refresh the User Interface.

This issue has been around since 2015, and there are many discussion posts on it already.

Some other possible game loading issues that may be encountered:

• Suddenly closes: try a restart again, may take several tries
  
• Stays on starting screen with the Radiant logo: close game, and restart
  
• Odd expanded codelike text strings throughout menus, objects: close game, and restart
  
• After loading a save, the World seems stuck in Slice mode, and selected objects don't display any text: close game, and reload save
  
• All enabled mods didn't activate: close game, exit Steam, restart Steam and game again
