Help with Kobolds (Hard Mode)
I was having a lot of fun until the Kobolds started attacking. I had 7 soldiers (2 footmen
2 Knight 2 Archer 1 Cleric). The kobold archers do so much damage during the melee and kite afterwards. I survived maybe 3 waves before they started spawning 4-5 archers + strong wolves.

That ended my game, and I had been playing for hours!

Could I build a ditch or wall around my town and force them to come onto a narrow bridge?

Could the Engineers turrets work against them?

Please help!

Turrets are good but are more of a distraction until yout main force can arrive. (Think of a immobile archer.) The cover fire by them can be decent but due to the limitation of ammo, they are really only good for that.

also i build small wooden walls (2 briggs high is enough) an fences around my village with wooden or stone gates...and i let my workers make holes (dont know the right english word) to stop the enemys... the holes are 6 briggs deep, 16 wide and long from corner to corner... so is my village pretty safe

i did posted a question before ,how to defeat this army,,and they give me good advice
now i play with 3 knights all silver armor+schield long sword (not the 2handed)
then i have 2 clerics+4archers,2with fire ammo and 2with chill arrows (slow down enemy)
i have 2 goups,,group1 is the 3knights+2clerics,,the other group is the 4archers

always when a large group attacks pause the game and find the clerics of the enemy, and kill them asap with archers
this setups works for me,maybe there is better ways i dont now but this seems to work very wel

now digging moats ,pff you still need a way in and out of your town,if you don't want to get boxed in that is
and if you have a way in (doors) the enemy wil knock them down !!!
just place your warriors on gaurd mode near your entrance of the town,,they dont wander around, they stil go eat and they stil go to bed,but they are then at the point where they can defend where its needed from the start
i play on hard mode in the desert with rayya's children, and with this setup i only have trouble with the generals Gong attack, the pics in the topic i made was the first attack lol the generals attack is like 2 times the size,,and they seem to get reinforcments lol

the problem i find is that the enemy archers have to manny defence or hitpoints,,they are way harder to kill or almost the same as those big goblin monsters djees, and compared to my archers ,,, wel my archers have like 0 defence lol so jeah to OP

Thank you for your advice. @medussa ram can your army really beat all those big army? Only 3 knight and 2 cleric + archers?
FIRE&ASHES Sep 5, 2016 @ 12:54pm
jes they can,i only realy get in trouble with the master goblin gong and then the generals gong,,the generals gong i can not compleet (on hard) ,so maybe 1 more knight wil do,then its 4knights+2 clerics and then 4 archers
the army i have are all lv6 knights lv6 clerics and lv6 archers

dont just send them in !!! you send soldiers, and when they come to you retreat they wil follow, but only a portion wil follow not the hole army,so breaking up the enemy and deal with them then go for the others,,also target the groups an the same enemy, one death target the other enemy and so on,the damage you do is huge
if you send them in and just let them do there thing ,,then they target random enemy,so your strenght is not put to good use

so divide the enemy's army,,kill the clerics if they have them,,kill softer enemy's first "they stil have weapons that do damage :) " when playing long enough you now what enemy is strong or not
the problem with the generals and also the master blings gong,,is that during attacks they get reinforcments, usely 2 knights and some archers,a group up to 8 enemy's,,and when fighting a large group ,,those reinforcments are to hard to deal with

ok i did pas the generals golden gong army
i stil needed to retreat and heal up 3 times,,and under that time the enemy grow bigger, but not as big as in the beginning

archers,,archers,,,archers,, thats the key they do way more damage and faster then knights do

my army was 2 knights+4clerics and then a other group with 6archers mixed with frost-fire arrows+recurve bows
i lost no hearthlings but needed to retreat and heal up,,stock up on large bandages if you can
becouse the longer it takes the stronger the enemy re-grows

after that you get a other army (mission) but its strangly easyer lol
