Stoneheart worth it with ACE?
So I've been following this game for a few years I think. All this time it looked like a pretty good game, but when reading the forums/reviews it looks like crashes, bugs and bad performance have been a real big problem. I've postponed my purchase so far because of that.

Now the game (disappointingly) got it's final update, but after that (surprisingly) ACE appeared. So my question is, besides many new features, does ACE also fix any of these issues, and is it worth it overall?

From my experience with ACE it has made things a bit more interesting. Much more to craft, some new quality of life additions (like mass moving items at once). It is still early though, new race the dwarves are coming. I don't know what the ACE community is capable of, but when the Stonehearth devs finished the game they didn't just let it die, they gave the ACE community power over the game. I don't know if this means they can fix FPS issues or other base game problems or if it is just additional things they can add.

It is still pretty fun for now, fingers crossed it gets even better.

Im still playing without ace and generally have a great time, I will be starting a game with ace enabled for all the extra content and factions, nothting to lose.

Well besides 30FPS arent as bad in this Game as in, 4example, Any FPS-Shooter.
And if you organize your Inventory Corrwctly i rarely fall below 45FPS.

But yeah ofcourse depends on your PC, even though LUA isnt a good Language for Games xD

Thanks. A stable framerate is important to me. And in a game like this 60 FPS should definitely be possible. Looks like I'll have to pass on purchasing.

Hopefully the situation will improve. But sounds pretty doubtful to be honest. :(

I personally have only had one issue with the game. Where it would slow down slightly, but that was only during multiplayer, and it only happened twice. Since that, I haven't had any issues whatsoever.

The game hasn't crashed for me yet, although I get an UI error everytime I start the game, but I see no consequences, only a pop-up window letting me know it. Well, uh, okay, thanks for the heads-up.

The framerate in question: I think this game's got one of the best AIs I ever saw. I mean basically the only quarrel I have with the AI is that unless you issue a direct attack order on an enemy unit to your troops, they tend to return to base to eat something instead of defending an area for example... Other than that, and I'm being perfectly honest here, I love to see the townies build something; I'm pretty sure I could only navigate them worse manually than they do it by themselves. And pathfinding like that can be hard on system resources, I imagine, so it's not the graphics that make your PC sweat.
