Hi, guys i have just paid for this game and would like to know what to make your hearthlings happyer then what they are. I have played V1.0 before had losts of flowers and berry bushes and a few houses and i never got happyer then "merry" on the happy bar why is that???


Also i have seen if you build a template and remove the mean bed and what to put in the comfey bed you cant why is that??

I used the Transmute.smod, it made wood to stone but I couldn't make items like the cooks spoon or other stone items tho I could use it for like the roads why is that?

Is the a place I can get say a guide for this game too?

The Hearthlings like it when they get near appealing areas. To make somewhere feel appealing you need good quality items together in a small area. You could design their bedroom with an Ornate bed, and have ornate lamps nearby, as well as a fine or excellent quality windows, rugs or decorations in the room. The dining area is also a place that everyone goes to eat, so put lots of decorations there, and you could place one table with 4 chairs around it, all high quality.

Hearthlings will be most happy if they have a comfortable bed of their own. Access to quality and a variaty of meals. And spending time in appealing open spaces. Cramped spaces like mines, or tiny rooms will lower thier mood over time.

Keep in mind however, that getting above merry is designed to be very hard to maintain. If most of your population is merry, you are honestly doing very well. Getting everyone to jubilant and maintaining it is pretty much impossible.

A high "Spirit" stat will also allow crafters to make higher quality furniture/items, keep that in mind if you are going for max happiness. Also make sure to check out all of their traits and assign them jobs accordingly if they have certain job desires.

The templates are just fine to use, but a big part of the game is building and creating your own town. You might want to just lay down a few of the given templates to start with and then play around with build mode and make your own stuff, its not as complicated as it may seem.

It does not matter. The only thing your hearthlings care about is the size of the rooms they spend time in and the appeal of the furnishings. Even with that, room size can be negated by one of the banner choices.

The game pretty much lets you go with what appeals to you the most.

Has anyone see if the second upgrade for the hearth works on the one that gives you like 2% interest in the gold you have?

2% interest is not to my interest. What I pick is daily buff. Since I am rolling in more money that I could ever use, so I don't really care about it, already got over 100k and don't know what to do with them.

Buff is really good, there are various buff. Sometimes I got the +4% to Inventiveness (Increases chance to craft a fine item) Then I roll out quite lot's of high quality products :D

Tip: use Page Up and Page Down buttons. Page Down can move the camera below ground level and you can see things underground like ore veins and treasure chests! It might help out with getting a good view when building or mining also.
