Guys, it seems great, but I have to ask...
Will we EVER get a sequel to Halfway?
Ill be right with you... Im just about to give the Halfway End boss a clobbering! ^^ :D
@Farcast: We definitly want to continue on the story of Halfway. We have actually quite some stuff to tell in that universe. But out of many reasons we decided to do something else before that. I'm quit sure you will not be disappointed once you can play it.
I think lots of us fans would've been happy for some moderate official Halfway DLC mini campaign or something. There just didn't seem to be any interest by fans in modding.
While I've fought off the urge to exclaim it's 35 years too late to do a Raiders of the Lost Ark TBS game :-), I'm sure I'll be first in line for it and eager to do a Steam Characters Game Guide for it as I did for Halfway. :-)
P.S. I do hope you guys create a maybe less clunky/simpler inventory handling system for the new game -- then if it works well, we can see that in Halfway some day. :)
And I wonder if you'll given in to the "overwatch-mode crowd" and implement that in some way. Or will you say, "no way! go play XCOM!" :)
P.S. You guys might want to sticky this thread since it's your own official announcement. :)
We are here to learn and improve. :)
Given the Indiana Jones-ish motif, will at least one character have whip skills?

Could be the ability to stun a distant target, or maybe to lasso and "pull" a distant target to melee range. :)
We think that there are better ways then randomness to create thrilling fights. We were very frustrated how bad it feels to miss a 80% shot 3 times in a row while standing next to a target. This is how randomness works, but that is no fun.
We are working on a very interesting system that I'm very certain many will love, because it feels way more tactical then HW ever did.
We will start doing tests with players do gather more feedback later on, but currently we are very happy with how the game plays and how strategically it feels.
Or how about EA?
On crowd funding: More likely not. At least we have no plans for it at the moment.
Oh well, gotta finish halfway first tho.
