Does modding disable achievements?
So I'm replaying tlou part 2 right now to get the perma death playstation achievement and while I was doing that I just fully upgraded all of my weapons on Ellie and didn't get any achievement. So now I'm wondering if it's because there's no achievement for it or if it's because I'm using mods to get different skins on Ellie and the game disables achievements in case I use it to cheat the achievements?

That achievement requires you to get some further weapon upgrades that you will get to later. it's not broken.

no, mods have no effect on achievements

doesn't that mean you can platinum any playstation game thats got a pc port with mods?

damn i didn't know that, thanks for letting me know (and I'm not gonna do it in case your wondering lol was just curious)

The ingame cheats certainly do not. A few times I've activated them.

I play new game plus on some very hard difficulty but I don't want resources the very limited
I've upgraded both of them fully and got the achievement

really? doesn't it say in game that if you activate cheats achievements won't be available?

Well... I don't recommend you to screw with the game or you'll have the same fate as me. I tried a debug mod after finishing everything and lost all my achievos. Then they (for the most part) reappeared when I relaunched the game and they now all have the same date. First time that it happens to me. Moral of the story? "Don't f!ck with the files!" 💀

ah damn then i'll try to be careful. all i've added is some deftones shirt for ellie and i haven't gotten any issue yet luckily
