Part 2 of the game sucks. The show is based on the game, the second season will suck, they have ruined the story and destroyed one of the most beloved characters. What did you expect?

Everyone is to soft, I agree with the TC, she is a goblin horrible casting for Ellie. I mean Joel looks like Joel apart that hes mexican, why does Ellie have to look like she has down syndrome, They made a very small reference in the game that bill was gay to an entire episode last season, so I dont expect any less. F the show I am currently replaying the game no need to watch it.

The original story is not so original in the first place. One person has the cure, the whole of humanity relies on to provide the cure. The difference, if there is one, is that she would die if the surgery happened. So there's also the common sacrifice myself part.
Someone who lost his daughter can't take another loss so he goes rampage on the whole place. Grief is real, but his is no more unique than anyone else's.

Part 2 is a bunch of revenge stories, as old as mankind itself. Tribalism at play.

It's not supercomplex, and it just demonstrates that we're still quite primitive beings when it all comes down to it and especially if the common norm that we have now collapses.

If mankind were to grow up it would unite against the infected, termination of them all should be goal. I'm not holding my breath.

So, I predict that if the next game ever comes out some reviewers will still complain that it's misery porn.

The most silly thing is complaining about how the actors look, be it the wrong skin colour or a supposed potato. And Bella is actually a REAL person..

No, it's a show based off the game The Last Of Us. Ellie in the show looks nothing like the character from the game, and I'm not saying they have to look identical, but the current actress doesn't even look remotely similar. The only thing they both have in common is that they're both girls. Just bad casting imo

And height, age, hair color.
Isabela Moner looks nothing like Dina. But you don't care, she is pretty.
Tess looked NOTHING like Anna Torv. But you don't care, she is pretty.
Scott Shepherd looked nothing like David, you didn't care.
Troy Baker looked nothing like James, you didn't care.
Cavill looks nothing like Geralt. But you don't care, he's a dude.

...he's Chilean by birth...also comes from Spanish aristocracy, and is related to the former President of Chile Salvador Allende. But has been in the US since he was like 1.

And oh no, they made a gay character...more gay by giving him more backstory. Oh deary me, not backstory...

No because she is the only example that bothers you, because she isn't attractive. The actress for Dina is Peruvian while Dina is Middle Eastern, and they look nothing alike. But Merced is attractive, so you don't care.

Ellie actor has fine acting skills. She looks inbred. There are plenty of other skilled actors with the Ellie vibe who don't look inbred. Out of all the actors in the world the showrunners cast her in order to fulfill a DEI "ugly actor" quotient. They didn't have to cast a good looking person - an avg looking actor would've sufficed but they intentionally chose ugly. Their objective was to try and condition audiences to accept and normalize an unnecessary fugly in a lead role by casting Quasimodo.

Just because it's your opinion doesn't automatically make it immune to critique
