[RESOLVED] fix the f*cking shooting bug already!
too many times I've been taking aim and trying to shoot at the right moment and the stupid gun will not fire. it has deprived me of so many critical shots it's frustrating beyond belief. FIX THIS INPUT DELAY NOW.

I have noticed when prolonged aiming at enemy. I was aiming for awhile and it took some time for Ellie to click back the hammer. You heard her do it. Not sure why it took so long, but if thats the case than it could be whats going on. I didnt fire though and was a stealth takedown.

I do not understand why people persist on this theory. try out any firearm in the game and you'll notice quickly that its not the case.

I blasted a lot of shamblers with the shotgun and had zero issues. No delay at all.

guys when using a mouse you can force the bug. reload a checkpoint and aim. the first click(shot) will always not work. you can reload and reload and reload and every time its the same bug. it has nothing to do with delays or cocking guns. i played the game on ps4 when it released, it didnt have this so called "feature". i didnt play the pc version with a controller and i dont intend to do so. so maybe the bug is a mouse problem soly. many people have reported this happening. why are people so hung down always on trying to downplay when people have problems.

it will sooner or later be patched. listed in the notes and you all make fools of yourself in a persue of something i cant grasp.

when trying yourself understand that the first time you load a game it works fine. its with every restart of a checkpoint and it only happens once until you for any reason reload a checkpoint. so people on grounded will have to deal with this alot and it is also there where it ofc is the most annoying as every shot you make counts and this "feature" often ruins your momentum

maybe someone with a controller can try and report

i have also made a ticket at nixxes including the explenation and video

You could play the game on highest difficulty where there is no ammo and you have stealth your way through the whole game.
I am playing on Grounded... there's still relatively large amount of ammo. Sure I stealth through most but still max out on all ammo so I start shooting occasionally. This bug is pretty annoying and never happens in No Return so surely they can take it out of regular game too.
off topic but yeah I noticed quickly that Part 2 graces you with way more ammo on grounded than Part 1 on Grounded did.
but then again, guns don't seem to inflict extra damage on grounded PT2 like it did in PT1.

Just tried this quick. But only with revolver. It does indeed "not" shoot with first shot after a reloaded checkpoint.

I cant reproduce it though any other way.

How it was not identified before release on your side ? Do you test your games before selling them ?

i might add one and ask if there's a method to cancel a pulled bow? once active you have to shoot the arrow. even if the situtation changes. i might forget thing. was pretty drunk last nite. do i just stop aiming? may have to replay. hmm...

i think the dodge button cancels the pull or just release, not sure but there is a cancel
