Hardly impressive. The missing blood feature remains unresolved, and gamepads turning into either bricks or merry-go-rounds speaks volumes about quality control.

that's a minor bug all things considered

Do you use the newer 572.xx drivers? Try the 566.xx. I use 566.14 and
no issues even with Framegen.

572.83 here - no issues with FG either.
I see. Its strange that ppl get so different experience even with same hardware and drivers.

Hardware is rarely exactly the same and also consider Windows version. Sometimes it's a combination of different factors.

It hardly concerns me. Others share the frustration in sufficient numbers, and they will persistently pester the developer until they yield. That, in itself, is something worth appreciating and a good thing. Peace won't come until the game reaches, at minimum, console standards. And rightly so.

Same here, after last update game crashes on start. sometimes resets my PC. Every other game works fine. Rolling back to previous version doesn't solve the issue. Tried reinstalling display driver but it doesn't make any difference.

I9-14900KS / 64GB RAM / RTX 4090

I figured this out, after some troubleshooting - it seems the last game update corrupted my save game. I followed instructions here: https://support.nixxes.com/hc/en-us/articles/25619328882717-How-to-load-a-backup-save

And game works again without crashing on startup.

Yeah true. Especially the 14900K series has been riddled with stability issues in alot of games.

That's mostly because there was a hardware fault with 14th gen

Ran it yesterday evening with out any problems, but in the afternoon it was crashing a few times...

And for anyone running a AMD Socket AM5 Motherboard (Ryzen 7000>9000) Update your BIOS!

Framegen is super buggy is all games.
Never use it unless i have to.

Post solution in main post so people can read.

Never had any problems with framegen anywhere.
Exactly , frame gen is awesome. It’s great in TLOU2 too. I limit fps to 80, then enable Frame Gen and getting 160fps locked on my 165hz monitor. Virtually no downsides anymore, no input lag or artefacts.

Are you talking about MFG? Because the regular one doesn't double the FPS

yes it does it inserts a fake frame between each real frame doubling fps

yes, 1 fake frame per 2 real ones. That's why regular FG doesn't double the FPS.
