I felt forced to fight Abby in the End though. I didnt wanna do it.
Not one of the main protagonists is really bad, while not really good either. What they do is already borderline. In Part I, I totally liked Ellie, even after the Steakhouse, but her different cycle in the development of Part II removed that big sympathy.
It's a video game; it's fiction. And, to be honest, I'm sorry for their experience. But I wouldn't be comfortable with a friend like Abby or Ellie, seeing what they're capable of.
For me, they are victims of circumstances.
The defenseless child was literally what could possibly save humanity.
Also Joel kills so many people in the first game (who all could be a Joel to somebody) and Ellie also makes Abbys friends suffer - including cilling a pregnant women, therefore basically killing a defenseless child. Even tho Owen did also safe her life btw. So its really not that easy imho
And then game just flip sides and you start playing as Abby, and me, personally when I played game a first time on PS4, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated Abby, but then after playing her part, saw her point of view and that she is not a bad person, but revenge is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and can cloud your mind. And that's why Iove Part II from beginning, because game had a balls to put you in uncomfortable position to show you that all stories has two sides and world is not black and white and in world of Last of Us, everybody can be villain, even your hero.
