Does anyone else kind of like Abby?

I'm not someone who's into ''woke'' games and characters, but honestly, this is a good game. Almost everyone seems to hate Abby, but no matter how you feel about her, it’s hard not to feel some sympathy. I was upset she killed Joel too, but it makes sense when you realize he was the one who killed her dad. I also liked her parts of the game because it shows a different perspective. She kind of becomes this anti-hero, and the dynamic between her and Owen keeps things fresh, especially with the flashbacks.

Yes it's called "bad writing". In reality she would've been confused as ♥♥♥♥ and most likely asked if Joel is familiar with Fireflies, so that she would at least make sure that the man she's about to kill is THE man.

Joel not denying it in that moment essentially confirmed it for her. I don't think it needed any confirmation because it was already obvious, but for you specifically I am pointing out the moment there could be no doubt she knew it was THE Joel.

Ellie straight up murdered her Pregnant friend, she didn't just 'beat her up'.
Abby atleast showed some restraint in not stooping to Ellie's level.
A win for her in my book.

Ellie had no idea Abby's friend was pregnant and clearly showed remorse when she finds out. So Abby's vindictive "Good" is totally unwarranted since she was going to kill Dina knowing she's pregnant. She could have just killed Ellie then and there. It would have made more sense for her character since we know Abby doesn't shy away from revenge when it comes to people close to her. So why does Ellie continue to get spared by Abby? Where was her "restraint" when she was beating a man to death with a golf club after he just saved her life?

^ That's why her character growth and back-half of the game is one of my favourites.

I'm not exactly that interested in retreading old ground or re-earthing a conversation from almost 3 weeks ago though honestly. The beauty of this series is how nuanced it can get, and you'll either discover that you love it or continue to hate it.

Lev was her restraint in that moment and a pivotal character in contributing to Abby's whole character arc.
