Skipping part 1?

I heard of the abysmal performance of part 1. Do really need to play that to understand the story, or can I skip it?

The events of Part 2 would lose like 90% of their impact if you don't play Part 1. Part 1 is also one of the best games ever and definitely shouldn't be skipped

I don't have a great PC, but the performance of part 1 is f*cking great?! No lags, crashes, etc
Played faaaaar worst games, like Dragons Dogma 2.

From what i remember from the port of part 1 to pc it was because people would not wait for the shaders and stuff to compile and would just go straight into the game. It sucks waiting but when it gets done it is good. You need to play it though

PLAY part 1 first, or just watch it

part 2 is skip-able for know until a spin off or a 3rd game comes out (Hopefully not)

The Remake for part one's performance is way better then after launch, I do recommend buying it if you want the full TLOU experience but if you don't want to... I still recommend watching someone play it. (or watch the show)

You need play part 1 first, you can't jump.

I definitely recommend TLOU Part 1, if you want you can always watch a walkthrough if you don't want to play the first, but I would encourage you to actually play part 1.
