“Anti-woke” nonsense
I miss when people could enjoy things without buzzwords ruining the vibe. These alt-right grifter channels on YouTube seem to do the thinking for most of their audience, recycling the same clickbait titles and overblown narratives. They frame things like a random tweet saying 'racism is bad' as some massive scandal, making it harder to enjoy anything without their noise in the background. You’ll see titles like:

'WOKE gamers DESTROYED after SWEET BABY INC employee EXPOSED in DEI SCANDAL'

The internet’s obsession with labeling everything 'too woke' has become louder and more obnoxious than the things they’re actually complaining about, and now they’re everywhere.

Just like Dominic Toretto lives his life a quarter-mile at a time, these people live their lives one rage-bait YouTube thumbnail at a time. I pity the fools.

"Enjoy things" I see this malaise among you normies and frankly, I just wish you all would raise your damn standards of things to enjoy. If I see someone on the street vigorously consuming dog sh!t right off the pavement, at the very least I'm gonna tell him to clean himself up and maybe go try the burger shop down the road.

Critiquing art is one thing, but reducing others' preferences to 'eating dog sh!t' is just lazy elitism.

The burger shop is down the road and to the left.

but seriously what is wrong with telling people to enjoy nicer things than they already have. I'm willing to point people into greener pastures, because I think it's to their benefit. Hell, I'll give you several examples of better meals. (Going by the various influences of Last of Us and similar titles)

The Road and Blood Meridian (There is a movie of The Road if you don't feel like reading)
28 Days Later
Children of Men (not AS good as everyone says, but still a pretty solid film)
Telltale's The Walking Dead (shockingly similar stories, I'd recommend the first two)
No Country for Old Men (obvious choice)
Project Zomiod (Not a story game, but if you like zombies you'll enjoy it)
(And well of course the first Last of Us, but I don't think that really needs to be stated.)

Respect the suggestions, but not everyone wants the same thing. I’m a big fan of McCarthy’s books too, but that doesn’t mean everyone’s looking for the same kind of story. TLOU2 might not be your vibe, but for a lot of people, it hits the right notes. Not every game has to match your idea of 'better' to be worth enjoying.

That's not elitism, it's just brain rot.

In my opinion, TLOU2 is better than all of those outside of maybe The Road. 28 Days Later has a greater fun factor though.
it says it has LGBTQ stuff.

Look, I love that people their lives. But I don't like consuming media that includes that. It's not for me at all.

Many think like me.

Why is it so hard to understand?

Then dont play it? You act like you are entitled to any media produced. I guess you didnt play the first one because Ellie was a lesbian there too. Nothing has changed

Of course I won't play it. The problem is that 75% of new games are like that.
And thanks, I won't play the first one either. I don't mind those games existing. But I hope more non LGBT elements existed with such production.

75% of games are like what? include LGBT elements? What kind of games are you playing?!
This will literally be the first one i've played that includes anything related to it. And how are you complaining about either game having not played them? Keep an open mind, enjoy what you like and ditch the rest, simple as that.

The major issue with the game IS NOT the LGBT stuff it's the fact that Joel dies and Abby is nothing but a cold blooded killer.
Part 2 is an extremely woke game. Joel is one of the best male characters in gaming who is loved by fans. He also happened to be masculine straight and white. To nobody's surprise he gets killed off straight away in part 2 by a butch female. This was a political motivated decision. The studio was taken over by woke liberal women. This is why one of the male writers leaked the death and left. There is also a whole child trans section which is so out of place and forced. This might be the first game that has pushed trans stuff. . Also Ellie is a lesbian btw in-case you didn't know
