So much hate, yet very positive reviews

I'm just wondering how this and other games that are marked as "woke" i.e. contain smth that drives toxic infantile crybabies nuts (LGBT characters, strong women, imperfectly looking women etc) despite all the hate around them are positively received in general. Turns out, 90% of people who play these games in fact don't give a crap about the "woke" part? WTF is wrong with modern society?

I would have thought that most of the hate comes from the fact that, idk, probably the best character in the first game being killed 2 hours in, by getting beaten to death with a golf club.

I liked Joel, but what he did was wrong. Killing him was a smart way to keep the Story going.
Abby had the same right or not for Revenge as anyone else. Up to your point of view.
I rather have this events than just a copy paste of part one.
