Controller lag

I use a dualsense edge controller. At first I thought that when I messed with stick sensitivity it causes this issue, but as I got further into the game, I realized that sometimes the camera movement and character movement/actions just become delayed and at times unresponsive, forcing me to push buttons and move sticks multiple times for it to register anything. Sometimes commands just stick and cause continuous inputs. It’s not my controller, I tested on other games. Is anyone else having this issue?

very weird issue with this on my desktop idk if its specific to me or something

whenever i start the game using a ps5 controller it works fine for about 15 minutes and then it bugs tf out and the sticks start drifting. idk if this is an issue with my ps5 controller because i've tried using other controllers once this happened and seemed to be working fine although i havent played longer than 30 seconds on one of those controllers. and then the weirdest part is that ill shut the game down after playing and steam will just not work at all. the game says it wont close, it wont update to cloud, and i cant click on any other games on my desktop and just get like a weird loading screen on them. idk what is going on and im wondering if other people have this same issue.

just tried on my laptop, ran fine for again like 15ish minutes then randomly crashed. gonna try to see if i can do anything to fix the issue later today. what are you specs? my desktop is a 4080 super and i7 14700k. lowk has some heating issues but theyve never stopped me from being able to play a game before. idk whats going on.

Intel Core i9-13900K & 4080 SUPER. Gotta be a problem with the game itself and not hardware problem.

Tried wireless & wired (2 different types of USB-C cables). Didn't fix the problem :/

I disabled Steam Input and it worked for me. Important: I had to restart the game for the setting to take effect.

I have drift with the Dual Sense only in this game and I have Steam Input disabled. No drift with the Xbox Series X controller, but I would prefer to play the game with the Dual Sense.

Yes! God, I thought it was a problem with my Dualsense (Steam Input). The problem does not appear immediately, but after 2-3 hours of playing.

At first I thought my wire was malfunctioning again. As a result, I bought a BT adapter, and today I started playing. Everything worked well for the first 2 hours, then the verses started to stick, the buttons on the left and right stopped working, or the response took 3-5 seconds.

This is already the 3rd game from Notty Dog, in which they ♥♥♥♥ themselves with input device support. (Uncharted 4 and TLOU1 - mouse bug)

Issue seems to be Steam Input itself. If you disable it within the Properties tab on Steam there is no issue (wired DualShock 4). I'm experiencing the same issues with a wired Steam Controller, however, as that needs Steam Input.

PS5 controller issue

For some reason, after around an hour of game play, my controls don't work. I tried closing and restarting steam and the game and it doesn't fix it. When the controller starts to be weird it sort of slowly in a few minutes starts to not register inputs. the only way for me to fix it is by resetting my PC. This is the only game were I have this issue. Also for some reason, after playing for a few min, at the start of every session, the game pauses as though I pressed option. The adaptive triggers don't work half the time too. Though, when I play with mouse and keyboard, there's never an issue. Some help with this would be great (also my drivers are up to date, my build is a RTX 3080, 16gb of ram, Ryzen 9 5900 x, Windows 10)
