It was a forgiveness story not a revenge story, thats why she didnt kill abby she "forgave" her, makes 0 sense.
The entire plot was asinine. abby kills joel. Ellie goes to kill abby but doesnt. Abby goes to kill ellie but lets her go. Ellie goes to kill abby but lets her go. Abby goes to kill ellie but lets her go. Ellie for the fifth time goes to kill abby for the finale!!!! .....lets her go. THE END
