Graphic card driver dying
So I got rx6700xt with latest optional driver. Before last update I got some crashes but game was still playable. Now there is not just regular crash. Now you must reboot your pc and after that graphic card driver doesn't work, so u should reinstall it. Anyone with same problems?

First test it with other games. Most of the times it's either the PSU, then your motherboard, and then your ram, and at last your GPU or CPU. Or CPU overheating, in some cases the SSD/NMVE could been faulty.

I bet it's solely a driver issue here. Download DDU, follow the instructions, re-install your graphics driver and see how it goes.

If nothing works a clean new OS often does the trick too
its amd go buy a nvida card and you wont ever have that problem ever again. dont ever buy amd.

What a nonsense. Nice Try, Nv-Fanboy. But in general Nvidia is a step more innovativ. The RX 67XX and RX 79XX could suffer from an overheating Hotspot-Temperature. I would check it with Afterburner (for example) or just in your adrenalin software. I had these problem with my RX 6750XT. ...115 ° was often detected, although the GPU was on 70 °.

The only solution was to lower the gpu core clock to 120 Mhz and set the Voltage to 1.130-1.150 V.

Finally fixed it. Just installed old 2024 driver. No crashes, same performance

I even had to go with older drivers with this game and after that no crashes. Pretty weird stuff.

Strange. I have been using only ATI/ AMD graphics cards for 20 years and very rarely have problems. Of course there is the occasional bad driver. But that's very rare. My current 6750xt works perfectly with practically all games.

This response is hilarious to me.

Years ago I had a friend help me pick out parts and build a new PC. It was completely identical to his system in every way except for one. He had a Nvidia GPU, I went with AMD. Every other component of our builds was exactly the same. From the CPU to the MOBO even down to the power supply and HDD.

Pretty much every single time we would go to play a new game together, he would run into problems getting it to run smoothly, while I would be happily playing the game without having to fiddle with anything.

I rarely had to mess with drivers, I played new games and never experienced the myriad of problems that people were reporting. I never had any of the graphical issues, or driver issues, that my friend had.

I've seen and experienced first hand that AMD graphics cards run better and have less issues than Nvidia graphics cards.
My dear friend, we got (almost) the same card
check this, maybe u find something useful

Nice try. It has been reported that Nvidia is having driver issues. Sure some stuff may have been fixed with the most recent update.

I just started the game, with the same optional driver and I have yet received any crash.

Run a furmark bench test on your gpu and monitor the temps and gpu usage, if it crashes under load its either bad drivers or the vram could be dying, it may even need new thermal paste applied.

Try removing the gpu and blowing out the gpu with a can of compressed air to remove any dust or debris and plug it back in and retest.

If you don't feel comfortable with applying fresh thermal paste to your gpu take it into a pc repair shop and have them do it

While AMD has historically has significantly worse GPU drivers than Nvidia, currently this statement is completely untrue as Nvidia's drivers in 2025 are the worst they've ever release to the point the 50 series cards barely work and quite literally can't play some games, and anyone on older RTX cards will just have major problems. Currently I think they're equally bad, I've not really come across AMD users who haven't complained about issues that turn out to be driver related, but they are usable unlike 10 years ago.

sounds like you should buy an AMD card next time. nvidia is notorious for this problem.
