Hypocrisy is alive and well.
His brain's still running on a 5" floppy.
If so did you sleep through the story?
You can't tell me you actively paid attention to the story and then somehow think that Abby is any less Justified than Ellie to go out and seek revenge. In many ways more so.
Yes it's uncomfortable finding out a character you saw as good in part one is now so warped by hatred and revenge that she herself has turned bad.....but the whole point of the game is to show two different sides of the same coin (Abby even collects coins when you play as her)
No one cares. The whole "ReVeNGe Is An EnDlESs CyClE" trope is a plague that has been a detriment to movies/games for decades now, even GOW Ragnarok did it lol. It's boring, lazy, moralist slop.
It would have been an objectively more satisfying and cohesive story had they just let the player indulge in what Ellie set out to do. Especially when you factor in the egregious contradiction of her (you the player) happily blowing people to pieces without a a shred of empathy just a few minutes prior.
Obviously. Producers decided to spend huge amounts of money turning into an incredibly successful award winning TV show, and Sony has chosen to remaster / re-release the game a bunch of times. Because no one cares.
