Request to Include Option to Remove Nudity and Sexual Content

I am writing to request the addition of a content filter or toggle option in The Last of Us Part II to disable or remove nudity and sexual content, similar to the feature that was made available in The Last of Us Part I.

As a fan of the series, I deeply appreciate the storytelling, gameplay mechanics, and emotional depth both games offer. However, for personal or cultural reasons, some players (including myself) may feel more comfortable engaging with the narrative if such scenes can be skipped or filtered out. The availability of this option in Part I was a welcome feature, and I was surprised to find it missing in Part II.

Including this feature would not only show respect for a broader range of players' preferences but also promote accessibility and inclusivity. It could also help parents and guardians who wish to share the game with younger audiences in a more controlled way.

I think the point of the Abby Owen sex scene, from the writer’s POV, was to confirm they still loved each other and even just touching was enough to break down the wall they made between them. With the eventual narrative purpose was to make the scene of Abby seeing his corpse hit harder. And obviously Ellie Dina romance purpose was “the price Ellie had to pay to get closure with Abby” I wouldn’t say they had gratuitous sexual tension though. And I guess you could relate that to Abby too, her revenge on Joel cost her everything including the person she loved just like Ellie, because yeah they’re suppose to parallel each other.

The Last of Us franchise has sold 37 million copies in 9 years
That's a lot of grisly executions and clicker deaths.

Part 1 is still $60 and part 2 is $50 on Steam. $2,035,000,000 give or take a dollar or two.

People have their faces blown off, their torsos ripped in half, Abby literally has a nightmare depicting two children completely disemboweled but you want to remove the nudity when you could just skip the cutscene? you snowflake ahh loser. Why tf would a parent want to give this to a child? You should be at least 15-16 to play this with all the heavy and dark themes.

You can skip a cutscene. In game use escape --- left click on cinematic and select yes.
