7950x3d + rtx 5090 resize bar on/ off does not matter
4k resolution my gpu is not using more than 75% utilization, sections like the seraphines woods and downtown seatle has major drops from 140fps to the 60-70, I have tried everything cant figure out whats wrong, other games run fine

hey there, same here on a 5090 + 9800x3D. No matter what resolution, even with newest drivers and patch 1.2. I hope the devs figure this out as seemingly there are still a lot of people who can't play the game properly.

hey man I fixed it by making sure the x3d cache cores are being utilized for games, my msi motherboard has an option called x3d gaming in the bios, i updated chipset drivers and bios to latest, one thing i can tell you its not the gpu its something to with ryzen processors and core parking, troubleshoot that

Oh man I wish I had an MSI motherboard.. I'm happy you have something that works for you and thanks for the potential fix! I guess I'm gonna have to wait until the devs implement it into the game.

So I actually ended up reinstalling Windows completely and lo and behold: 99% GPU usage ~180-200fps at 4k native and 60% CPU usage.

I don't know what exactly was the issue but your comment sent me down the rabbit hole of investigating core parking issues on the 9800x3D and a lot of people suggested that a fresh install of windows most of the time solves the issue. I assume there was a problem with some drivers (probably CPU related) and now with a fresh install they seem to be resolved.

Interesting thing is I still get the bug where if you start the game with Framegen enabled it will cause some weird bottleneck again. So best way to play the game is with framegen + reflex turned off.

Anyway thanks for the nudge in the right direction. I can now finally play the game properly on my high end pc lol
