Thanks, now I know 9000 and 6000 series don't have problems.
Still waiting for someone with 7000 series to answer.
Yes, AMD is superior, duh. Still, you don't have to act all superiority complex about it. Sure, 80% of AMD users couldn't take full advantage of their card; if you can, good for you. You shouldn't mock NVIDIA users either. Sure, they were fooled by NVIDIA marketing shills, ending up paying a premium for inferior results, but people are capable of learning. Being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doesn't earn your anything, and you lose karma. Not smart.
The driver was released as a beta simultaneously with the TLOU 2 launch - I had to download it manually from AMD.
Release notes :
New Game Support
Assassin's Creed Shadows
The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered
Fixed Issues and Improvements
Incorrect gamma is exhibited while playing Counter-Strike 2 and using MSAA x8 on Radeon™ RX 9070 series graphics products.
Intermittent application crash may be observed in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle when settings are set to "Very Ultra" quality and Path Tracing is enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to use the default Ray Tracing settings as a temporary workaround.
3rd party tools that rely on our ADL SDK for detecting ROPs count will incorrectly report 64 ROPs.
Lower than expected performance may be observed while playing Assetto Corsa Competizione on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products.
Intermittent system or application crash may be observed while pressing Alt-Tab during gameplay on some AMD Radeon™ Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6000 Series.
Intermittent system or application crash may be observed while using multiple high refresh rate (+120Hz) monitors with HDMI connections.
Windows Update may overwrite the installed AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition with an older version of the graphics driver on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products.
So far, I only know of one case in which someone could run the game with NO AA + NO upscaling using a 7000 series. I believe the problem was 25.3.2. Most of people get this: https://www.reddit.com/r/pchelp/comments/1jrep2z/last_of_us_part_2_on_amd_driver_2532/
FSR use TAA. If you have FSR enabled, it uses its FSR built-in TAA even when you set TAA to off.
In the options, I saw that XeSS was set as the antialiasing method—I hadn't selected any antialiasing myself. So, I first switched to FSR antialiasing to see if it made a difference, and it did.
They introduced a sharpness slider with the hotfix—so, it's a good idea to reset your graphics settings first.
No artifacts since then.
What GPU are you using? My son was using 7900XTX, this seem to be an issue exclusive to 7000 series GPU. The issue was there since the beginning, nothing changed after the hotfix earlier today. Turn on TAA, any upscaling, or disable Screen Space Reflection makes it disappear.
