Automatic saving is in progress....!

Every time I try to save manually, a message appears stating that the game is currently auto-saving.

I can't cancel this process, only go back.

The game loads from the last checkpoint without any problems, but unfortunately the auto-save doesn't disappear.

I try to quit the game, but it doesn't work.

I then quit the game via Steam.
I restarted the game and continued playing. My save game is 3 hours old. In other words, the previous game session didn't save the game.

Is this a problem that has come after the new patch fix that just came out?

same here. lost over 4 hours progress. dont want go on. killed my fun and interest to play furhter. 0 trust that this wont happen again... i want have fun, forget the day, start and play the game and i dont want be a dr "clode Ondrive" "do that and this"
shame on the devs which could solve this, when they would save the saves in installation dir example here e: and not under documents which is used by MS OnDrive. grrrrrrr

You can right click on the on the onedrive where you have the option to pause sync for 2 hours while you are gaming because the game autosave has conflict with Onedrive

Disable OneDrive or stop it from syncing your TLOU2 folder. It seems to mess with the game saves. Nixxes posted in a thread here somewhere about it. I'll link it if I can find it.

Cheers I did find something about this after Googling.
If for some reason you don't want to turn off One Save sync, or you don't trust this fix.
Forget the game auto saves and just try and do regular manual saves old school style.
If the subject message comes up, kill the game!

The OneDrive pause-fix has worked the last 7H playtime. Fingers crossed!
I however copy the savefolder to another place after each session if something gets messed up with the sync.

Seems to have worked for me too, you can actually pause one drive sync for a set period of time.
