It looks bad, you aren't alone. Even the first remaster looks better since it was based on PS5 version and this is based on PS4 from what I've heard

You must have DLSS / FSR on. Turn that and framegen off, it'll look better but tank your FPS. Pretty sure this is the PS5 version.

Probably has more to do with your system/settings than the game itself. Looks absolutely amazing on my rig and runs smooth.

I did not play the PS5 version, can't say how it compares to that, but for a modern PC game the graphics are outdated when fully maxed out. Yes, I have DLAA, max settings, updated plugins, etc. Compared to the first Last of Us remaster on PC the graphics are worse (and notice we only have "Very high" settings and not "Ultra" like the first game)

The game isn't exactly great looking on PS5 either. It's a PS4 game pretty much with some improvements... Unlike the Part 1 which was an actual full-fledged remake.

What makes it one of the best looking games today is not the texture quality, or lighting... it's an attention to tiny details: from incredible facial animations to snow physics and lots of other things: just keep looking around and you will see.

You do not need to friend me for that, for "graphics" I just set it to Very high, and disabled chromatic aberration, film grain and lens dirt.

For display i've turned off dlss, frame gen and DRS, and have it set to DLAA
