The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered

The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered

Vezi statistici:
This game is probably not going to get any good mods.
Now I would love to be proven wrong about this but respectfully as much as I hate to say it this game isn't going to get any Resident Evil game sort of mods where you have full on Difficulty / Cut content swaps (Like berserk or Valkyrie) or any full on model swaps (Rem swap Ada which still amazes me how people got her to glow on RE engine) or even the Mr.X mods too.

I was hoping that this time around ND would have implemented some modding support into the game but now that there's none and neither is there a workshop or any actual model replacement mods on nexus. There was someone who modded TLOU1 and somewhat modded TLOU2 when it was still on console but it's locked behind a paywall of course.

...pirated paywalled garbage.

mods are not pirated. why you throw that in there? you trying to hard to shoehorn your opinion. i'm not having that. you can forget about it.

okay. then maybe skyrim is moderated, idgaf. i don't even like or play. doesn't change the fact the modder gets for good content. dunno why you wouldn't want that. you want it all for free? that's not always how it works.

if i do a full circle on spelizer. i dunno what mods he got on his patreon and how's planning to release future mod projects. i'd happily pay a coffee for the dc mod tool, tho. i'd like to have that for my mod plans, when i'm thru the game. and those tools are something he owns. his IP. the disassembly work. can't judge that.

anyway... end of debate here for me. not wasting more time on this topic.
Jesus Christ, you must be really special. You can twist yourself into whatever mental knots you want, but facts don’t care about how many times you say “idgaf.”

Saying “mods are not pirated” doesn’t make it true, if they include unlicensed assets from a protected IP and are sold behind a paywall, that’s textbook copyright infringement.
Calling it “good content” doesn’t magically erase the theft behind it.

You keep dodging with “I don’t play Skyrim” and “I don’t know what’s on Patreon” like that somehow makes your argument immune to criticism. It doesn’t. It just makes it obvious you’re more interested in defending your stance than understanding the problem.

And no, reverse engineering someone else’s game and selling tools built on it without permission doesn’t make it your IP. That’s like breaking into someone’s house, rearranging the furniture, and claiming you deserve rent.

If you're done debating, that’s fine. But don’t pretend you walked away with the upper hand, just know you didn’t win the argument, you simply tapped out before it collapsed on you.

You came in swinging with half-baked takes, twisted logic, and a heroic dose of denial and now you’re retreating behind “not wasting more time” like that somehow makes you right.

It doesn’t. It just means you’ve got nothing left to say that doesn’t immediately contradict your previous nonsense.

So sure, close the tab, walk away, pat yourself on the back but deep down, you know this entire debate exposed exactly how little you understand about copyright, ownership, and basic respect for creative work. And the worst part? You weren’t just wrong. You were loud and wrong. And that’s the thing, being wrong is forgivable. Being proudly, obnoxiously wrong while dismissing facts and acting like you're above the conversation? That’s just pathetic. You tried to rebrand infringement as “support,” laziness as “flexibility,” and ignorance as “not caring.” But calling it a donation doesn’t erase the paywall. Calling it a mod doesn’t erase the theft. And calling it "your IP" doesn’t change the fact that you're building castles on someone else’s land. You didn't bring insight. You brought noise. And now that the spotlight’s too hot, you're shrinking into the shadows pretending it was never worth your time. It was never about time. It was about being out of your depth and now you're drowning in it. And let’s not pretend this was some noble stand. You didn’t walk away because the topic was beneath you, you walked because you ran out of deflections that didn’t collapse under basic scrutiny. Every reply you threw in was laced with projection: You accused others of being inflexible while bending logic into a pretzel.
You cried “opinion” when facts hit too hard. And when cornered, you defaulted to "I don’t even care." Classic move, when you can’t win, pretend you never wanted to play.

But here’s the brutal truth: You weren’t defending creators, you were defending entitlement. The kind that thinks "if I like it, I should have it, and maybe even get paid for it, no matter who built it first." You can wrap it in “effort,” “passion,” or whatever tired excuse you want but theft dressed up in fan enthusiasm is still theft. And the only thing more transparent than your argument was the desperation behind it.

You weren’t debating, you were coping, scrambling to justify a system where taking without permission magically becomes okay as long as you slap the word “mod” on it and call it “community-driven.” But community doesn’t mean stealing from the very people who made the thing you claim to love. It doesn’t mean hiding behind "hard work" to excuse profiting from someone else's labor. It doesn't mean twisting the definition of creation until it fits into your wallet.

What you defended wasn’t creativity, it was creative theft.
What you called flexibility was just moral decay in casual clothes.

And now that every one of your points has been burned down to ash, here you are, brushing off the smoke like it was never real.
But deep down, you know exactly what this was... Not a discussion you lost but a mirror you couldn’t stand to look into. That’s all. I’ve said everything that needed saying, twice, with receipts, and more patience than your arguments ever deserved. So go ahead, keep pretending you walked away on your own terms. I’m done lowering my standards just to meet your level. Good luck convincing anyone else.:GHVomit:
you seem to have used or seen one of his mods. how much of the original content does speclizer distribute? and how much of it is just executable or his own data or mod data? this is where the copyright ends. the core of modding. the user is required to have the original game. the mod just uses the data in a different way. this is not illegal. just creative use of i would call it "borrowed" assets.

do you understand that concept?

he does not infringe on the brand either, he just extends the content. his fedra mod is entirely within the tlou brand. not stolen or anything. you fail to understand that. which is a bummer, really.

now i'm done. i didn't even read all that ♥♥♥♥. lol don't bother typing more. :)

You’ve now said you’re “done” at least three times and yet here you are, again, rewriting the same tired narrative with different words and pretending it suddenly makes sense. It doesn’t. Let me make this simple so an social anomaly like you atleast have the opportunity to understand: The mod creator promotes his work differently, for example on a YouTube channel, completely with trailers and gameplays, and links directly to his Patreon, where access is tied to support.
That’s not “creative fan expression.” That’s a monetized product pipeline based entirely on someone else’s intellectual property.

You can keep calling them “borrowed assets” or “just data used differently,” but that doesn’t change a thing. You don’t get to repackage protected content, attach financial incentives, and call it harmless, especially when it’s marketed publicly.

You’re not defending modding. You’re defending the right to profit off work that doesn’t belong to you.

And if you truly didn’t “read all that,” like you claimed then stop replying like you’re contributing anything. You’re not having a debate. You’re just flailing in denial, hoping repetition will outlast reason.

There weren't *any* good mods for REmake2 and 4 until they figured out how to get the randomizer working. And BioRand2 is currently behind a 5€ EA/Beta Tester Paywall until it gets to stable release. Until just 2 weeks ago, BioRand4 Separate Ways was behind a 5€ EA/Beta Tester Paywall as well until it got a full release and became a free thing.

Berserk/Valkyrie were modifiers and enemy replacement, so they were a bit easier. However before that, since REmake2 released in 2019, there were virtually ZERO mods for that game apart from Character Model swap and REFramework Cheat Tables because the game could simply not be modded. It wasn't until this year that we got a fully functional RE2 Randomizer mod that actually works.

Also 90% of those model swaps were nude/gooner mods.

I do hope someone can make interesting mods for this game for PC that alters the gameplay, and doesn't make Ellie turn into Shrek or something like that silly. I only own it on PS4 and PS5.

Well this is what I'm talking about. I don't really care much for any of the full on game changer mods as I don't care about that. I just want things like model swaps. In my experience they're on the easier sides of things to figure out to do in the games unlike difficulty stuff and unreleased sections being added in like in Valkyrie and Berserk.

That's the only thing I would really want for this game as I'm tired of having to look at Abby and Ellie and the same other main characters each time I play. I really dislike the weapon models too except for the silenced assault rifle I forgot the name of. It's pretty unlikely that there'll be any game changing mods either way unless someone somehow created their own levels and coded that into the base game or did something similar with Resident Evil and added some cut out areas into the game which is pretty unlikely to happen.
