Weird pattern in picture w upscaling
I have some weird circular pattern appear while using any form of upscaling. Almost a halo like pattern that shows around the character and out to the edges of the screen. Hard to explain. Is very noticeable in motion and is nothing I have seen in other games. I have changed to latest DLSS. If I turn of all upscaling it disappeares.
4090. 13900k. 32gb.65"lg c1. Hdr.

Any one else have this?

Edit: with upscaling off and DLAA on itis also present.

Strange lines when panning camera
Anyone notice a any curved lines at the edges of the screen when rotating the camera, almost like a vignette?

Seems to happen regardless of whether DLSS is on or not

DLAA for now is only good looking, without shimmer, flicker, oversharpen artifacts. FSR Native might work too, didnt tested that one tho

Kinda looks like stars/glitter?

No. I am on the phone now but can take a screen shot and try to capture it later even though it shows best in motion. It is insanely intrusive.
It is half circles stemming out from the character

The same problem was happening with the first game. I haven't found a possible solution yet; when DLSS is deactivated, the problem is slightly alleviated, but it's still there.
We need a solution for Devs!
I turned off any upscaling method, just DLAA for antialiasing and frame gen On, the differences are very noticeable, hair and some shadows are blurry with upscaling.
Yes I have the same issue! God I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't find another person having the issue. No matter what I change it doesn't go away fully,

The artifacts is there with upscaling off and DLAA on. Frame gen makes the picture choppy.
It's fine with every upscaling off and another AA then DLAA. But I want 120 fps. :golden:
There was another thread on here with same exact issue. The devs replied and said they are looking into it. As pictures and videos were posted illustrating the issue.

I just cant find it as it may have been deleted for some reason. As my comment on it was removed. But the devs did respond to it.

i think that's ssao halo. i noticed it too a couple times. not very intrusive, tho.
Multiple threads about this going around. The devs are looking into it and responded in one of them. As the OP and others posted proof of it happening.

Sorry but I think it was moved or deleted so I cant link it. Too many threads populating to keep up.

Yes, I have noticed this exact thing for both TLOU games on my 5090. It looks like barely perceptible concentric circles running from the center of the screen out to the edges. Once you notice it, it's pretty annoying. I have it regardless of upscaling option I use, or native resolution.

I ran the game with ambient occlusion turned off, and the issue persists sadly

okay. what you decribed sounds like vignette compression. does it have that? i dunno atm. gonna play a lil later. perhaps it's disabled with all the post screen fx. i run no screen fx. only bloom. there might be a remap.txt edit for that. on part 1 we had to replace the lens dirt with a black texture too.
