Out of memory crashes
I've had 3 crashes in the 6 hours I've played so far. I have a 16 GB GPU, what's the deal with that?

Intel 13th and 14th gen CPUs needed a motherboard BIOS update to fix an instability issue. The issue could cause some games to crash and incorrectly report out of video memory even if you have tons of system RAM and GPU VRAM. About a year ago, or something like that, NVIDIA drivers were causing out of video memory errors. I guess update your BIOS, check temps, and even change the GPU driver. I'm not having any issues with the newest NVIDIA driver. I guess even an AMD driver issue could possibly cause a similar issue. I don't keep up on AMD hardware and drivers.

"Resizable BAR (ReBAR), or Smart Access Memory (SAM) in AMD's terminology, is a PCIe capability that allows the CPU to access the entire graphics card's frame buffer (VRAM) more efficiently, potentially leading to performance improvements in certain games."

Some people mess around with turning that on and off. It seems to help some. I don't bother messing with that and am not having any issues playing many hours of this game. I'm not really sure why you're having this issue.

I have an AMD CPU so I don't think that is the issue. I'm also on the latest NVIDIA driver and I only seem to have an issue with this game in particular.
nixxes gave some trouble shooting and fix steps in there.

I fixed it by reverting to NVIDIA driver 566.36. Seems to be more stable, doing that also fixed another issue I was having.
This game eats virtual memory like crazy. I set mine to double my physical memory
That's not about GPU. It's about system RAM. Either upgrade RAM or increase pagefile size to at least 20GB. Besides, close the browser, discord and other memory hungry programs when playing the game.

I tweaked the page file too. I have 32 GB of RAM, there was another crash that happened where the out of memory error didn't show up too and the latest NVIDIA driver is really unstable so thought that reverting drivers would be the best thing to do also.

Did reverting drivers help?

I didn't play the game much yet (waiting for them to iron out the major bugs first), but from limited testing that I did (1-1.5 hour) it did seem stable on my end. Latest nVidia driver and 4090 here. But I also have 64GB RAM, so that might have helped, too.

Yeah. My screen stopped flickering to a black screen on the desktop too and I didn't lose any performance.

Multi-monitor setup?

Yes, it was doing all of that before I added the second monitor though.

572.83 here and no such problems with a single-monitor setup. I think there is a bug related to multimonitor setups in the 57x drivers, but didn't verify myself.
Also I had paused 24H2 crappy updates. So that might have helped
