DualSense Controller not working
Has anyone gotten controller issues? I can't be the only one with such an issue.

It works fine for awhile when you boot the game up. but after maybe 15-20mins of gameplay, The controller just stops responding to buttons. However I can sense the vibrations.

Problem occurs regardless if its wired or bluetooth. All drivers are already up to date.

I've exhausted and tinkered with quite a fair bit of options in the settings in steam already. Same problem still occurs, have to resort to m+kb because of this. Really takes you out of the game. Hopefully someone has a solution or a patch that will solve it.

disable steam input if you havent, the game has native dualsense support (wired only)

make sure the firmware is up to date
Thank you, will try that out!
I've been experiencing a recurring issue with my DualSense controller. After about 30 minutes of gameplay, the controller stops responding entirely. I also noticed that the L2 adaptive trigger starts acting strangely right before this happens.

It doesn't seem to matter whether Steam Input is enabled or disabled—the problem still occurs. Additionally, when the issue happens, not only does the game crash, but Steam itself becomes unresponsive and needs to be manually restarted. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, but nothing has worked so far.

I’d really appreciate any help or advice you can offer to resolve this.
I'm experiencing the same issue. using a ps5 controller 45min-1hr of game play the joy stick starts getting weird.. and starts effecting the rest of the controls after that. I have to restart the game every 45min. I've tried to update drivers. reinstall game files, verify, calibrate...
I want better gyro so I need steam input on. My dualsense has stopped working, only the gyro aim responds.

happening to me too, did you find a fix?
Also experiencing this problem, can anybody confirm if all controller types are affected or just dualsense? Seems like it doesn't matter if steam input is active or not. The joysticks lock on me after prolonged play and then all other controls lose function following. Closing and relaunching the game seems to make matters worse (the entire main menu breaks), I even switched to another game and tested my controller and had no issues, save for the haptics being funky at first then fixing themselves. I'll tinker with DSX a bit and update this comment with any results.

::EDIT::
After playing with DSX, emulating my dualsense as a DS4 controller, I have not had any issues after roughly an additional 3 hours of gameplay, shame that all of the haptics are gone, but if anybody is looking for a quick fix rather than waiting on Naughty Dog to patch this issue, I recommend using DSX for the time being.
Im also having issues. Controller stops working mid game usually within 30 min. I have to end game and restart. Sometimes ai have to completely end steam. This only happens in LoU2.
i didnt have this issue before the last update. but yes my dualsense edge stops responding after a while and it takes a full restart to get the controller recognized by windows again. This only happens with this game. i just sent a message to nixxes about this. The game will be unplayable until they fix it.
bump same issue

mine is working wirelessly over bluetooth. do you have the sony dual sense software installed?

The controller can work as a standard gamepad over bluetooth, but for titles with full dualsense support (not many, but this one has, mostly just 1st party sony titles), the full features of the controller (haptics, adaptive triggers, precise gyro) are wired only on pc
As people are saying, the controller slowly stops responding after a while, this is with a wired Dualsense controller. Not sure if it has anyhting to do with using gysnc, but this happened after last patch. Something with the Rebar is conflicting with the controllers.

Having the exact same issue. Did you find a fix? Might have to refund it until it gets fixed which sucks because the show made me want to buy it and play it again
Okay so my bf had the same problem and what fixed it is when you’re in steam and click on the settings for Tlou part 2 - NOT in game! On steam -> go to controllers and put it on set default. It should say that your playstation controller is the main controller.
Sony makes a PC app like clownbabby said duh
