Are there more political themes/agendas beyond the obvious ones?
Aside from the lesbian protagonist and the whole 'Abby being stronger than most men' thing—which I personally found unnecessary, considering how unrealistic it is for a woman to maintain that level of muscle mass in a post-apocalyptic world given the lack of food and resources—are there any other 'woke' elements?
Like political or ideological topics that feel forced or only relevant to U.S. culture?

Asking before buying, I love the first game, like a lot.

Listen, if strong, beautiful, heckin valid trans characters are too much for your fragile white male ego, then maybe skip this one. Naughty Dog doesn't need your money, Part 3 will come out regardless.

you all talk about that stuff being unrealistic in the same universe where zombies, slavers, and rat kings exist.. make it make sense :deadrat:

Why the hate, I'm just asking before buying the game. I don't mind the sexual orientation of any main characters, or the fact that Abby is a strong woman, etc. I just don't want to be forced into U.S.-centric political themes— that's all.

why would there be politics in this game? it's set like 30 years after the outbreak politics don't exist anymore.. I suggest playing the first game before this one if you already did then you should know this already

The game is based on a real-life fungus. It's fiction, but not unrealistic. We're not talking about wizards and dragons—the game is grounded in the world we live in.

I hope part 3 delves more into Tommy's character considering how his brain damage and injuries after Seattle completely change his character

Well, there's some segment in the game were they keep reminding you Dina is jewish ,like 5-6 times in the span of a few minutes ... Does that count?

I played it. The thing is, I’ve read a lot of comments and I just want to make sure those comments are coming from clueless people and that they're simply wrong.

I mean in that part of the game you ARE in a synagogue so it makes total sense to be talking about religion in a world where a majority of it has been forgotten. also that part of the game is completely optional so if you don't want to see it then just avoid it..

Except you are wrong. It's a game about a zombie apocalypse and the struggle to adapt . And the second part also focuses on revenge and the storytellers misguided definition of it. So yeah, religion never had any play in it? So randomly forcing that point of discussion in my face really doesn't make any sense.

I hope part 3 allows me to firebomb tesla and gives me victim points every time someone misgenders my character.

No teslas survived the Outbreak.
They all self-drove into lakes.
