Game not saving

I am so upset.
I have been waiting so patiently for Last of Us Part II remastered to come to PC. I've played it before on my PS4, and have logged 70+ hours on TLOU Part I, completing all achievements.

The game doesn't save.
A lot of other's have the same problem. What will happen is when you go to manually save the game it'll say "autosaving in progress please wait" and no matter how long you wait, it won't complete.

I've lost 7-8 hours of gameplay. I'm lucky I didn't keep going further into the game but that's just disappointing.

I love this game so much, so I'm just disappointed.
I will give it a few days and hopefully the bug gets fixed.
Just keep in mind to keep checking and manually saving.

Is there any fix to this?

You are not alone. I really hope to hear about a hotfix soon. No point in playing if this is gonna happen.

I had to delete my manual saves to get autosave working again.

Same thing.
About 2 hours have disappeared
1) It is impossible to exit the game (I think the game is trying to save, but something is blocking it) I have to exit the game through the Steam overlay.
2) If I click Save or load the game, a message appears that autosave is in progress, but it also goes on forever
3) It seems that autosave worked half the time that I was in the game (about 1.5 hours), and then the saves broke

Same issue. Lost about an hour of progress. Need a fix for this ASAP.

Herre's what I think MAY help before patch but I'm not sure about this

- when new chapter / location starts move forward a little bit before quiting the game and do some things on the map (I think it helps the game to make quicksaves better)
- exit to main menu instead of exiting to the system
- chetck from the menu that your saves are good
- only then exit the game
- make sure Steam dowloaded the saves and it stays that sync is done

I read in another discussion that a user is putting Steam in offline mode and, during the game, he saves manually.

He made backups of the generated saves and then put Steam online to synchronize.

He is doing this until a fix for the problem appears.

I haven't tested it yet.

this has really pissed me off im going through the same thing
