DLSS Laggy?
To be clear, idk if DLSS swap fixes this but noticed that with DLSS Frame Gen + Any quality preset, the game was stuttery and laggy as ♥♥♥♥ on my 4070. swap to FSR Frame+Upscale and things running beautifully.

I assume it's probably just cauise there aren't updated Nvidia drivers yet for the game but just wanted to see others experiences.

EDIT: It's actually just frame gen ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the framerate, literally runs better with it disabled completely [100~ fps vs inconsistent 60-90~). FSR Frame Gen = 140~ fps with Quality DLSS.

dlss is big poop. they added it, but it's literally garbage imho. i don't wanna try dlss (i run the game just fine in native with taa), but even dlaa looks like shimmery piece of ♥♥♥♥ ngl tbh. not sorry for nvidia. not at all. the ai can go up jensen's butt. :)

yup. When I turn on DLLs and frame gen, I generally see flickers on trees and grass. It's a mess. I use DLAA. It's the best. And I constantly get driver crashes.

That sounds like a VRAM issue. What resolution are you trying to play at. There are Nvidia drivers. The AC shadows driver last week had the last of us 2 drivers as well.

I have a 4070 12gb, 1440p*. It's not impossible it's a vram issue but I can 100% say I have zero crashing after multiple hours of play with FSR and playing consistent 120fps at max settings [balanced fsr quality]. I don't see any mention of TLOU2 drivers in the update from March 18th, which has the drivers for AC Shadows.

Yeah you should be getting better performance for sure.
Nvidia app enable [dlss Preset K] . I replaced the dlss files with the latest version. And the game works perfectly
stupid game runs worst with dlss on.. im playing it without dlss and it runs better

DLSS isn't needed for a 4070. I'm running a 5950X/3090TI-OC/64GB and using balanced DLAA v4 all other settings maxed and getting over 100fps solid. I'm not using NVIDIA Reflex it crashes the game. My 3090TI is under-volted. 3440x1440 on a 45" LG LOED - WIN 11 24h2 Broad.

what do you mean DLSS isn't needed. DLSS 4 is amazing. gives you more performance and you can raise settings higher than what you could without it.
I get worse performance with DLSS enabled than I do using native 4k with TAA.

so if you're getting poor performance turn off DLSS and also turn off reflex, Its waaaaaay more stable at native.
