There are hundreds of games with non optional straight romance being a central part of the story, you don’t see gay players complaining about them. You have to deal with one or two having lesbian romance instead.

It's an absolutely epic story that delivered and expanded on all the cliffhangers and expectations of the first game. There's a reason why it was selected to become a TV series from HBO.

to each their own, TLOU2 ruined the story, they used "shock value" wtih joels death, its a cheap resource to create controversy, same thing that game of thrones did in multiple occasions until people stopped caring in the last seasons so there's nothing "mature" in that, proof enough with daenerys and the night king resolution, it can backfire and the whole point is to shock the audience with something unexpected and highly dramatic sometimes even unnecesary because the whole point provoke a reaction in the audience.
