PC Gamer Had the guts to rate TLOU2 right 6/10

PC Gamer’s one of the rare ones with the spine to slap the game with a 6/10 and damn, they’re spot on. Overhyped, woke mess of a game and it’s about time someone called it like it is. Cry harder, stans.

That's from the article. It's nothing new, being "polarized" with The Last of Us Part II Remastered. The writer of the review plays his opinion pretty safe. I like that, but I also have my own opinion, and a review doesn't change that.

What I appreciate is that he sounds reasonable, objective and mature. That's someone I can take seriously.

Its not really guts when its a lukewarm take in 2025. If anything comparing it to his 72 OMD Deathtrap review, I just think its more of an engagement bait review. Even if you just consider the gameplay+No Return, saying its a 6/10 and giving launch Deathtrap a 72 seems like you want big clicks.

Gameplay in TLOU2 is solid, really top notch stuff. Graphics on max settings? Pretty damn good even jaw dropping at times. Runs silky smooth on my rig too, no complaints there. But man, its absolutely soaked in progressive and woke garbage. Such a shame it’s dragged down by that nonsense. 4/10

You don't own the game, you just watched several "eww I don't like gay and female ppl" youtube rants about it.

I'm personally waiting until the PC port improves before I purchase it, I didn't like the Uncharted 4 PC port because it didn't run well despite me having a rig past the recommended settings.
