So far our investigations point out that this crash can occur for some players when the game is set to 1440p in combination with the "Medium" setting for Volumetric Fog.
If you experience this crash, try changing the resolution or the Volumetric Fog setting.
If this does not help, please reach out to Nixxes Support[support.nixxes.com].
On 4k monitor with dlss ON and Volumetric Effects on Medium the game crashes.. even after during "Birthday Gif".
Fix is to set Volumetric Effects to LOW or HIGH if upscale method is ON.
At native 4k resolution, without any upscale (dlss OFF), the game runs fine with Volumetric Effects on Medium.
CPU: 5800X
GPU: 4070 Ti Super (566.14 driver)
RAM: 32GB
EDIT..
in the next chapter "Hillcrest" (Seattle Day 2).. i set Volumetric Effects back to Medium (with dlss ON) and everything works perfectly fine.
Spec:
CPU: 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 5080
RAM: Corsair Dominator Titanium 32GB 7200MHz
Driver: latest driver available
I can't progress the story any longer.
