What's so special about this game?

I've seen people say "OMG this game has such a great story" so far so good, but from what I've seen people play, it seems to be a Resident Evil with little action and a good OST, nothing more than that and not with such innovative gameplay.

I'm not saying this as a hater, because I've never played it, I just want to understand why this game is so successful if it doesn't even seem to have that much going for it.

Not necessarily, I didn't love or hate it. Same with the first one. They were just fine games, nothing really stuck out to me except for how well they were made from a technical standpoint. Everything else was pretty forgettable.

I would agree that some people overhype and greatly oversell this game. It’s basically a very good cinematic experience with a controversial story it’s nothing special gameplay-wise and doesn’t have anything not seen elsewhere.

Those who say it’s like the greatest game ever made and similar are greatly exaggerating.

Gameplay wise you can stealth it and stock up on ammo or go all in and shoot the crap out of everything.I like to stealth until I cant.Some things you need to shoot.Some amazing story moments as well.

overpriced. 5 year old game. buy it with 50% sale
