Amd frame generation broken

When i turn Amd frame gen the game becomes laggy , it shows 60 fps with vsync on but feels like 20 . Anyone else noticed.

It is so bad . It works great in part 1 though . I hope they fix it soon

Same here, turning it off for sure. Had almost around 200fps with it on, but plays out much much worse, without it it is still around 90-120 fps and feels so much smoother. I am using RTX 3080 and on 1080p very high settings for reference.

Honestly and I dont mean this in a bad way but if frame gen is showing 60 with it on then you have no business having it on anyways. It doesnt work like that its more for people that play well above 60 to begin with. It was never meant as a boost to get to 60 fps.

wow elitist much? What gives you the right to tell people how and what settings they play on. You need frame gen these days as most AAA devs don't bother to optimise games these days kiddo and people don't want to drop thousands of dollars on hardware when it shouldn't be needed.

FG is broken and doesn't give more fps even. Turn off vsync, turn on VRR. Set a frame cap to your minimum fps with RTSS or Special K mod. The game has bad frame pacing with an unlocked fps and its frame limiter is also kinda broken.

Didn't Digital Foundry say that frame gen is broken in the game's current state? Irrespective of what DF said, what others have said about your gpu starting with lower than 60 fps native will only make the game run even worse by having frame gen turned on.

Frame gen in part 1 works great and both games have the performance. I hope it gets patched fast

If you're only hitting 60, you're only rendering at 30 FPS and then adding more input latency on top of that through FG. Turn it off.

I hit more than 60 , it s 60 cause vsync is on . The input is acceptable in part 1

As mentioned before these feature needs a deactivated V-Sync.

You get what you asked for, mate. Going with AMD? Dont be shocked when stuff like frame generation tanks and laggy mess at 60 FPS that feels like 20? typical AMD move.

Try using lukefz uniscaler mod, TLOU1 had the same problem and that fixed it for me.
