How to stealth kill silently?

After you grab them, how do you execute them silently without them breaking loose?
When I mash or single press F (melee) nothing happens while grabbed.
They break loose again. The game only tells me to press E to grab.

Just press E to grab then press F to stealth kill human enemies and runners but during Clickers just press E and Ellie/Abby will automatically kill them.

you could make enemies never breaking loose after grabbing ( and many other good options ) in accessibility page

so yeah just like roy said, press E > press F

Make sure you're getting the Stealth Kill/Grab prompt before pressing if you're having troubles but if still that doesn't solve lower your monitor refresh rate.

did you change keybind? no window timing as far as I remember , just tap E > tap F

Exactly! I didn't have any issues whatsoever, he must have done something with keybinds or the game has corrupted files it seems.

Weird! I just press F and it works and then E too. Just clicked didn't hold at all,

maybe it is to hold F in default settings, I changed some of combat options in accessibility
