I've played for around 9 hours with MSI in the bottom left the entire time because I know how bad part 1 was. I've just went through the TV station. Had 1 crash after the very first shader compilation and the game takes a good minute or so to load up. Not entirely sure what's going on there. Just want to +1 on shader comp mid gameplay its 100% a thing. I can see exactly when it happens.
Forgot to say 4070TI, I never OC anything.
First the fix: I capped my fps to 60 and enabled DLSS Frame Generation. This locks my fps to 120. My CPU usage stays around ~20%, but during shader compilation it climbs to 60% now instead of nearly 100%.
The theory: I believe that allowing the FPS to go too high in this game causes You to max out your CPU capability during the compilation. They SHOULD allow us to simply compile these shaders at the start so we can run without these issues, but this seems to fix the issue for me for now.
This also makes sense that only higher end machines seem to have the issue. Most people are probably not reaching high enough FPS with their GPU that their CPU has overhead for the compilation. Alot of us also weren't using frame generation as performance wise we don't need it.
You have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. Why are you downloading AMD gpu software?
I have ryzen processor
You need the chipset drivers not the gpu drivers.
