Keep crashing on high end PC
I'm getting smooth 150 fps on MAX settings, and 120 1% lows, but I can't play at all because of the crashes, tried installing 566 driver, keeps crashing, reverted back to 572.83, tried turning msi afterburner off, didn't help, tried -dx11 in launch options didn't help either, idk what to do at this point.

‘A problem has occurred with your display driver. This can be caused by out of date

Relax, it's the weekend. Give the developers time.
bruh Apr 6 @ 1:26am
I'm on a ryzen 7600x and 3080 12gb and I'm crashing like crazy. Tried different game settings, windowed/fullscreen/exclusive fullscreen, different graphic settings, nvidia reflex on/off/boost , setting page file , downgrading from 572.83 to 560.94 driver and nothing works. I give up...
Same problem. 10700kf, 3080, 16gb. First game crashed when compilation started with no error code. Changed my driver to previous version and was able to play 2 mins, another crash near gas station, black screen comp not responding had to hard reset. Changed driver to the latest version, compilation was almost over and game crashed with 0х887а0006 dxgi_error_device_hung error. GPU temp was about 70C.

I got the dxgi_error_device_removed error code popped up twice. And it hasn't popped up since. Game still crashing though. With GPU temps around 70c as well in a 4080 super

I’m going to be doing the same but it’s going to be a pain trying to do because I’m over the 2 hour refund period didn’t start having issues till 4 hours into the game

has nothing to do with the CPU its driver related to the video card
have you tried googling and following what their ai suggested as a fix to the problem...

The error code 0x88740006 or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG indicates that your graphics card has stopped responding to commands, potentially due to faulty drivers, overclocking, or DirectX problems.
Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:
Potential Causes:
Faulty or Outdated Graphics Drivers:
This is the most common cause. Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.
Overclocking:
If you've overclocked your graphics card or other hardware, the instability could be the issue. Try reverting to default settings.
DirectX Problems:
Problems with DirectX installations or components can also lead to this error.
Resource Shortage:
If your system is running low on resources (RAM, CPU, etc.), it can cause the graphics card to hang.
Hardware Issues:
In rare cases, the graphics card itself might be experiencing a hardware failure.
Troubleshooting Steps:
1. Update Graphics Drivers:
Check the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) for the latest drivers for your graphics card.
You can also try using a driver removal tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to ensure a clean driver installation.
2. Revert Overclocking:
If you've overclocked your hardware, revert to default settings to see if that resolves the issue.
3. Run Games as Administrator:
Right-click the game executable and select "Run as administrator" to ensure the game has the necessary permissions.
4. Verify Game Files:
If you're experiencing this error in a specific game, verify the integrity of the game files through the game's platform (Steam, Origin, etc.).
5. Check System Resources:
Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements for the applications you're running, and that you have enough free RAM and CPU power.
6. Disable Xbox Game Bar:
Some users have reported that disabling the Xbox Game Bar can resolve this issue.
7. Check for Windows Updates:
Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date.
8. Run a System File Check:
Open Command Prompt as administrator and run sfc /scannow to check for and repair corrupted system files.
9. Check for other software conflicts:
Some background software may conflict with your graphics drivers, try temporarily disabling them to see if it helps.
10. Consider a clean install of Windows:
If all else fails, a clean install of Windows can help resolve underlying issues.

Nah bruh, if other games work fine with my undervolt and OC profiles and only this game crashes , then it's the game fault, not my hardware. Devs fix your ♥♥♥♥ !!!

Btw I already tried with stock hardware settings and still crashing...
Bro idk, it's getting to a point, I really want to play and it just crashes, I emailed them and look at their response....

Hi, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback.

If you are encountering a pop-up with this error after a game crash, it means that your graphics card is unresponsive. Device hangs can happen for a variety of reasons.

When you are encountering random device hang crashes, this could be related to a wide range of factors, including outdated or corrupted drivers, software conflicts, overclocking, overheating or hardware instability.

If you are experiencing reproducible device hang crashes, for example during a specific part of a game, or consistently while a specific effect is displayed, the crash may be related to corrupted game files, hardware incompatibility or a bug.

Troubleshooting crashes

To troubleshoot crashes, try making changes to your system and game settings to see if that changes the behavior. We recommend the following steps:

Perform a clean installation of your graphics drivers.
Lower the graphics preset.
Change the display mode or resolution.
Disable optional features such as frame generation.
Disable software running in the background, including overlay software.
Revert any overclocking settings to default.
Verify the integrity of the game files.

If the crash is consistently reproducible after applying the above, to help us identify potential bugs, please include as much information as possible and share details on the steps you have taken. Make sure to include your game log, DxDiag, crash dump and save files to help us with our investigation.

The Last of Us Part II.log (text file)
Save file where the issue is occurring
DxDiag.txt

How to find your log file

Go to your Windows Documents folder. Here, you will find a folder named The Last of Us Part II, which holds a text file named The Last of Us Part II.log. Also, check if there are any .mdmp files in there. If so, please attach the latest ones. The save files are located in a subfolder with a long number or a combination of letters and numbers.

On English Windows systems, you can copy and paste the line below into your file explorer. It should take you directly to where the log, crash dumps and save files are located.

%userprofile%\documents\The Last of Us Part II

How to create a DxDiag.txt

Press the Windows key on your keyboard or use the Windows search function. Type dxdiag and press enter. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. From the main screen, press Save All Information to save a DxDiag.txt file.

Please attach all of the files in a reply to this email.
