she was a character that I hated so much before playing the game. But after watching and finishing the game, I like abby . I think she doesn't deserve to be criticized except for some things.Especially in the final episode, I think she fought ellie well even in that difficult situation

As someone who studied literature, Joel's death was the natural end of his arc. The redemption arc must end with the death of the redeemed. Darth Vader, MCU Iron Man, etc. The end of the redemption is death.

Ellie then breaks the cycle by realizing that Joel did deserve to die and she takes a different path.

As such, I have no issue with Abby or her role in the story. She served the purpose of the narrative well.

If there's anything to complain about it, it's that it's just par for the course storytelling.

I could make a long post about all the problems with abby but this person sums it up.

I think its a great characher. Really hated her at start but her motives are so well-reasoned and logical that I changed my mind completely. Game is a masterpiece, there is no objectively bad people, just a story that teaches you that violence generates violence
